Gregory Lewis - Yellow Submarine 2014

The Australian town of Holbrook is named after an Australian Navy submarine hero, Lieutenant Norman Holbrook VC.

When HMAS Otway was decommissioned in 1995 the local citizens and Holbrook’s widow purchased the upper casing and control room for permanent display in the town's main park.

In June 2014 the submarine was yarn bombed after a four month community effort to knit a yellow woollen covering. This celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Beatles visit to Australia as well as giving the town a huge tourist boost.

My family visited the sub on a very bleak day. I had my F75, a roll of Ektar film and a Sigma 24-105mm zoom. Its not often one gets to see a real Yellow Submarine!
