Gregory Lewis - Movieworld 2014

On a trip to Brisbane to see my son Elliot graduate as a games designer we visited Movieworld on the Gold Coast.

I took the N75 and plenty of Ektar 100. Next time I will take the N90, a 300mm f/4 and some Portra 800 for the motorcycle stunt riders.

The N75 on Sports mode tracked the riders flawlessly but I only had the Sigma 24-105mm attached. The best I could was 1/500 so there is some slight blurring. The close-ups are actual pixels direct from the scans, a very hard test for the Ektar film.

It is a very colourful location, perfect for Ektar. Most shots are on the Sigma but I sometimes used an old 70-300mm that came as a kit lens on an F80 (since deceased). I enjoyed finding cartoons on the walls, looking like giant comic book pages.
