Gregory Lewis - Emerald Bank 2014

Father's Day 2014 was at Shepparton. Classic cars and tractors were on display plus a range of stationary engines operated by engineering enthusiasts. The local aero club had an open day.

Lighting inside the Shepparton Motor Museum was a hideous mix of stadium halogens, tinted skylights and sickly green fluorescents. The Portra 800 was surprisingly accurate in the original scans. I used DxO to fix distortion and white balance, generally targeting a silver section such as the corrugated iron walls or polished steel components.

This shot was converted to B&W using DxO Filmpack. As well as emulating various film types from digital originals, this software has colour channel mixers for manipulating scanned colour film images.

These images were shot on the N90S and Voigtlander 40mm lens, with BW400CN film at EI 250.

Outdoor colour was on the N75 with Ektar 100 film set to +0.5 exposure compensation.
