I live midway between two towns that have active model railway engineering groups. They run on various Sundays of each month providing inexpensive entertainment for families and pure fun for more mature folks like me!
The Miniature Railway Club of Holbrook runs a picturesque 7.25" layout on parkland surrounding a local creek.
I used Ektar film and an F90x camera.

The Wodonga Creek Miniature Railway, not far from the Murray River, covers a smaller site but involves a complex dual-gauge formation of multiple loops and crossings. Several trains can run at one time using a pneumatically driven signalling system. Here is a track tour video taken by a club member.
